IntegrativeBiosensingLaboratory(IBL)isamultidisciplinaryresearchlaboratoryutilizingthecuttingedgenanotechnologiesandmicrofabricationtechniqueswiththemainfocustodevelopnewbioanalyticaltoolsincludinghighlysensitivemicro/nano-scalesensors,actuatorsand3Dsmartscaffoldstofosterthefundamentalunderstandingofsignalingpathwaysinregenerativemedicineanddiseaseprogression.Ourworkisdrivenbyunderstandingthebiochemicalandbiophysicalpropertiesofcellsandextracellularvesiclesincontrolledmicroenvironmentsandthefundamentalsofnano/micro-scaledevicedesignandperformance.Informationandknowledgegainedthroughthesestudiescanbeappliedto1)point-of-carediagnosticsanddrugscreening;2)acceleratethenextgenerationofcellandexosome-based-therapeuticandenablepersonalizedmedicine;3)developanewclassofengineeredsmart3Dnanofiberscaffoldsfortissueengineeringandregenerativemedicine.
